From Corporate to Global Exploration

When I was a child, my family lived in Fiji for several years. I loved being amongst the wealth of different cultures and practices, even as a small child, fascinated by the colourful variety of rituals, habits and behaviours.

My family returned to Australia and I went on to study and then work in the corporate world. Early in my career I took a brief hiatus and solo backpacked around the world for several years.

Again, the lure of varied cultures, philosophies and societies fascinated me, particularly those cultures with deep traditions and customs – many that considered reflection and meditation a natural, normal part of daily life.

Exploring mindfulness to find balance

As I began to succeed in corporate life and experience the stresses that went with career success, I started exploring meditation.

I began with Buddhist practices of mindfulness and meditation, and then moved on to western adaptations of mindfulness for health and pain management.

Vedic Meditation was the game-changer I needed

Over a decade of meditation, learning, and corporate success, I found that reflective techniques worked – to a degree. But I struggled to make them a lasting habit.

Then came the Global Financial Crisis, a breaking point in my high-pressure career. I needed a meditation practice that was powerful and sustainable, something to help me manage relentless stress.

That search led me to Vedic Meditation – and it changed everything. It gave me a simple, effective way to process stress amid the chaos of corporate life. I had been highly successful but deeply unwell, battling migraines, racing thoughts, an exercise addiction, and a serious caffeine habit just to keep up.

Vedic Meditation became the key to reclaiming my health, focus, and peace of mind.

From student to teacher - sharing the practice that changed everything

A Life Changing Discovery

I started Vedic Meditation and it changed my life.

I gained Increased focus and capacity, increased calmness and self-awareness, the confidence to start my own business and improved health and wellbeing.

Meditation changed my life so profoundly that I felt compelled to teach it. I spent three years training, culminating in a four-month immersive program in the Himalayas, where I became a certified Vedic Meditation teacher under the guidance of Thom Knoles, the world’s leading authority on the practice.

Now I help busy executives and business owners to thrive in the 21st century, using Meditation to provide the essential building blocks for a life that is grounded, focused and productive.
